The Omaha food scene continues to expand, this time with the arrival of Aroma Pho, a new Vietnamese restaurant preparing to open at 17205 Evans Street, Omaha, NE 68116. According to a recently issued building permit, the space is being outfitted with a commercial kitchen and two bathrooms to accommodate the new eatery.
Pho — pronounced “fuh” — is a traditional Vietnamese noodle soup made with a rich, slow-simmered broth, rice noodles, fresh herbs, and meat such as beef or chicken. In recent years, pho has become one of the most sought-after international comfort foods in the United States, with diners embracing its warmth, depth of flavor, and health-conscious appeal.
Brooklyn Riggles, Omaha Food Magazine’s restaurant reviewer, noted:
“Pho has quickly moved from being a niche dish to a mainstream favorite in Omaha. People love how customizable it is, and restaurants like Aroma Pho give locals another authentic option for exploring Vietnamese cuisine.”
The location, situated in a growing retail strip in northwest Omaha, will give Aroma Pho visibility among both residents and the daily commuter crowd. The opening further reflects the city’s appetite for diverse dining experiences, especially in the West Omaha corridor, where new restaurants continue to cluster.
As construction moves forward, Aroma Pho is expected to announce its official opening date in the coming months. Omaha diners can look forward to another destination for steaming bowls of pho, fresh spring rolls, and Vietnamese specialties served in a welcoming neighborhood setting.
