Looking for a fun dessert spot in Omaha that’s a l Looking for a fun dessert spot in Omaha that’s a little different from the usual ice cream stop?
We checked out Freezing Thai World Ice Cream in Aksarben Village and tried a mix of rolled ice cream, boba drinks, and crispy chicken snacks. Watching the ice cream get made fresh on the cold plate is half the fun.
Some of the flavors that stood out were Mango Tango, Strawberry Cheesecake, Matcha Queen, and Oreo Secret. We also tried the creme brûlée boba and Pink Lady drink, which were both super refreshing.
And if you go hungry, don’t skip the popcorn chicken or tenders. It’s the kind of place you can stop for dessert, lunch, or a late night snack.

Cold Omaha weather has a way of making you crave m Cold Omaha weather has a way of making you crave meals that feel comforting, slow, and meant to be shared ❄️🍲
From the moment you sit down, hot pot becomes an experience—starting with choosing your broth (and tasting samples if you’re unsure), then easing into the meal with shared appetizers while everything warms up.
At @hotpot88ne , dinner is something you build together. Cook thin-sliced meats right at the table, then head to the bar to customize your bowl with vegetables, noodles, add-ins, and sauces mixed exactly to your liking.
It’s cozy, hands-on, and perfect for date night or a relaxed dinner for two when you don’t want to rush 🥢
If you’re looking for a warm, shareable dining experience in Omaha—especially during the colder months—this is one worth adding to your list.

Looking for a new local spot to try in 2026? @uni Looking for a new local spot to try in 2026?
@unityseafoodomaha is officially on your must-try list 🦐🔥
Located at 76th & Cass, this Omaha gem brings bold Cajun flavor, Southern comfort, and fresh seafood — all with a Midwest twist.
We started with crispy coconut shrimp and house-made calamari — golden, tender, and packed with flavor.
Then came the main event: their signature seafood boil loaded with crab, lobster, and shrimp, drenched in a rich, creamy garlic sauce made in-house. Messy, indulgent, and incredibly satisfying.
We also tried the Catfish Basket (perfectly seasoned and fried) and their gumbo — full of spice, soul, and deep flavor in every spoonful.
Pro tip: don’t skip the drinks. Unity rotates seasonal cocktails — fun, festive, and the perfect complement to a seafood feast.
Whether you’re celebrating or just craving comfort food with a kick, this is a spot you’ll want to come back to.
