Grace Pizza and Shakes is coming to Papillion in 2024!

Nestled in the bustling heart of the historic downtown Papillion, a new culinary landmark is on the horizon. Grace Pizza and Shakes, with its unique blend of community spirit and gastronomic innovation, is set to open its doors. This isn’t just another eatery; it’s a gathering place where every meal is a celebration of community and craftsmanship.

The Evolving Food Scene in Papillion

""

Papillion’s food scene has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years, blossoming into a diverse and vibrant culinary destination. Grace Pizza and Shakes will be the latest addition, complementing a roster of establishments that have become staples in downtown Papillion.

For over 35 years, Brownie’s bar has been a beloved local haunt, known for its homemade food and genuine small-town charm. Chef Alfaro, voted Omaha’s Best Chef in 2023, brings her culinary artistry to Sauced by Alfaro, a saucy scratch kitchen that tantalizes the senses. The Papillion Taco Guy, a mainstay on Main Street, epitomizes simplicity and community spirit with his straightforward yet delicious taco offerings. Graley’s Ice Cream, an old-timey Victorian parlor, transports patrons to yesteryears with its homemade ice creams, soups, and pot pies.

"a

This rich tapestry of culinary delights, celebrated by Mayor Black, the Sarpy County Chamber, and the Papillion community, sets the stage for Grace’s unique contribution to this historic downtown.

The Founders’ Journey

Founder, Adrian Hembree opened Grazia Italian (translated to Grace in Italian) in 2014. His motto and “sign off” has always been Grazia = Grace.

The Grace concept was born during the pandemic, when Adrian realized he wanted more of a hyper focused concept with the same recipes and signature locally sourced ingredients as Grazia. Adrian and partner Joseph Gomez, an Omaha native and local entrepreneur, came together in 2023 to continue Grace’s growth into new markets, setting their sights on Omaha’s Papillion submarket as the perfect location for its family operated business to grow into, bringing its hybrid model of Grazia and Grace to downtown Papio.

Grace showcases craft pizza, over the top milkshakes as well features some of Grazia’s guest favorites, such as homemade pastas, artisan sandwiches and a vibrant fun, family environment for all to enjoy.

Philosophy Behind the Menu

""

At Grace, the menu is a testament to the founders’ belief in the power of personal choice and quality. Each pizza is an invitation to customers to express their culinary preferences, crafted with top-tier ingredients. The shakes, ranging from classic cannoli to adventurous s’mores, are not just desserts but a celebration of creativity and indulgence.

A Glimpse into the Ambiance

Grace occupies a historic building steeped in Papillion’s rich heritage. The renovation has been carefully undertaken to preserve the site’s historical essence while infusing it with a modern, welcoming vibe. The interior is a blend of rustic charm and contemporary chic, creating an atmosphere that resonates with both locals and visitors alike.

Community and Culture

""

Grace’s impact on Papillion extends beyond its culinary offerings. By creating 30 to 40 jobs, it plays a pivotal role in boosting the local economy in Papillion. The restaurant is envisioned as a hub for community activities – from family dinners to social gatherings, offering a space where every age and background can find something to celebrate and enjoy.

Engaging with the Local Community

The founders’ commitment to community involvement is evident in their approach. Regular events, community service initiatives, and collaborations with local businesses are planned to embed Grace deeply within the social fabric of Papillion. “Our dream is to make Grace a symbol of community unity and joy,” shares Adrian.

Sustainability and Responsibility

In line with modern culinary trends, Grace Pizza and Shakes in Papillion is committed to sustainability and responsible sourcing. Ingredients are locally sourced wherever possible, reducing carbon footprint and supporting local producers. This commitment extends to their waste management and energy usage, making Grace a responsible and environmentally conscious establishment.

Looking to the Future

As Grace Pizza and Shakes Papillion gears up for its grand opening, the excitement within the Papillion community is palpable. This historic building is more than just a restaurant; it’s a new chapter in the city’s culinary story, a place where every meal is an experience, every shake a delight, and every visit a memory in the making.

With the opening of Grace Pizza and Shakes in the spring of 2024, Papillion isn’t just gaining a new restaurant but a vibrant, community-focused gathering place. It stands as a testament to the unifying power of good food and shared experiences. As we eagerly await its opening, one thing is clear: Grace is set to become a beloved part of Papillion’s culinary landscape.
