At the heart of The Salted Edge’s culinary excellence stands Chef Joel Hassanali, a world-traveling epicurean with a passion for crafting exceptional cuisine. Born in Trinidad, Joel’s culinary odyssey began in his parents’ restaurant in the Caribbean, where he absorbed the art of cooking from a young age. Later, his culinary journey led him to New York’s vibrant food scene, where he honed his skills under the tutelage of culinary legends like Chef Emeril Lagasse and Chef Sherry Yard.

Joel’s voyage eventually brought him to Omaha, where he immersed himself in the city’s burgeoning food culture. After a year of research and development at a local restaurant, Joel and his wife fell in love with “The Good Life” and decided to make Omaha their home.

As Chef Managing Partner of The Salted Edge, Joel Hassanali’s exceptional talent and passion for culinary innovation are poised to delight the palates of Omaha’s food enthusiasts.
